The International Women’s Day (IWD) event held Thursday 7 March 2019, in the ballroom of RACV Royal Pines Resort was all about Bravery and Balance.
The IWD theme for 2019 is #BalanceforBetter and with KeyNote Speaker, Kylie Sprott, we have added a Women of Influence flavour with a focus on being brave and taking your career into your own hands.
Accomplished and charismatic speaker, Kylie Sprott, tackled the notion that “Fortune Favours the Brave” with stories of her rise to Senior Executive and Board positions with ASX listed companies. Kylie’s keynote was an entertaining mixture of personal experience, humorous anecdotes, funny photos, tips and advice.
Kylie then welcomed to the stage local businesswomen Stacy Miller, name partner of Cronin Miller Litigation, and Tania Meli, General Manager of Frizelle Sunshine Automotive and Dealer Principal Audi, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Ferrari Gold Coast.
All three ladies shared their stories of bravery which had guests laughing one minute and crying the next.
Ferraris and Philanthropy
We all coveted the gorgeous Ferrari displayed in the foyer from Gold Coast Ferrari, before spilling into the ballroom which looked amazing with huge double screens and seating for 220 guests. As always the service and food from the RACV team was fantastic with an array of fruit, donuts, yogurt and a delicious hot breakfast.
Mara Bennet from our charity partner RADFLY and Carmen Auer from Ohana for Youth were joined by student Lilith McLeod as they update us on their exciting project of building a new school for Arcadia College. We are so proud to be able to help this incredibly worthwhile local charity.
Thanks to our sponsors we had fantastic raffle prizes for guests to win and managed to raise $2,800 which will be donated to RADFLY and UNWomen.
